BPL Global is proud to announce its support for Street Storage, the only service in the UK specifically providing free, safe, and accessible storage to those experiencing homelessness. The importance of keeping items safe can be (and has been) overlooked when it comes to homelessness, with people sleeping outside at particular risk of having their […]
We are committed to supporting charities that work both at home and abroad in helping tackle pressing social and economic issues where we feel our support can make a real difference. Our charity committee meets on a regular basis and helps channel our efforts in two main ways: donations and supporting our employees’ own fundraising efforts through match-giving.

Our focus has historically been on smaller charities working in emerging markets to create lasting positive social change but more recently we have supported a number of UK-based organisations which work with young people and are focused on furthering training, skills and employment amongst those in challenging circumstances. Each year we choose one or two main charities to support alongside our wider pool, and we typically look to support these over at least a three-year period.
Bedford and District Cerebral Palsy Society (BDCPS)
For its 2021/2022 financial year, BPL Global has chosen Bedford and District Cerebral Palsy Society (BDCPS) to be its Charity of the Year, following a popular staff vote. BDCPS provides essential support for children and young people with disabilities, as well as providing support for their families. While the charity specialises in services tailored for young people with Cerebral Palsy, it caters to a wide variety of physical disabilities and complex health needs.
BDCPS holds school holiday playschemes, monthly social clubs and adventure trips, designed to give children and young people with life limiting conditions fulfilling and enjoyable experiences. The charity also holds special sibling days and provides wellbeing support for parents and carers. Its work continued throughout the pandemic, with a rich programme of virtual and online activities. Find out more about the Bedford and District Cerebral Palsy Society here.
Supporting Charities
We are particularly passionate about those working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop their education, training and skills.

Our focus is on supporting charities which are working to promote lasting positive social impact where we believe we can make a difference.
WeSeeHope
BPL Global has been a proud supporter since 2018 of WeSeeHope, an international development organisation committed to creating sustainable change for vulnerable children in Southern and Eastern Africa. Focusing on education, child rights and economic empowerment, WeSeeHope develops community-led programmes for vulnerable children and their parents and guardians. Its aim is that children who are isolated, exploited or lacking the opportunity they deserve, have the skills to change their own futures, and that their families and communities are able to support them along the way. You can read more about their work here.
Spear Clapham Junction
Another of our main charities in recent years has been Spear Clapham Junction. Spear is a year-long programme that equips 16-to-24-year-olds not in education, employment or training from disadvantaged backgrounds to find long-term employment. The Spear Programme, the flagship initiative of Resurgo Trust, has an incredibly strong track record of success – the Clapham Junction branch with which we are particularly associated since 2018 has helped over 500 young people back into work over the past six years.
Spear works by coaching young people to help overcome the attitudes and behaviours that are holding them back as well as providing training in practical skills such as how to write a CV, presenting in public, and mock interview practice. In addition to financial support, we have also hosted company visits for those on the Spear programme to give them a brief window into our world, and our staff have also assisted with mock interview days as part of the programme. You can read more about their work here.
Justice and Care
Justice and Care helps to rescue people who have been trafficked and brutally exploited in slavery, working in both South Asia and Europe. Not only does it rescue those affected by slavery and help them rebuild their lives, Justice and Care also partners with law enforcement agencies to dismantle criminal networks and bring abusers to justice. Justice and Care also works with governments to bring about systemic change and tackle the underlying issues behind modern slavery.
We have supported Justice and Care for a number of years now and it continues to be one of our main charities. You can read more about their work here.
