Having joined BPL Global in 2000, Dermot initially worked with one of the company’s largest commodity trading clients, before becoming increasingly involved in the early development of the company’s financial institution client base with a particular focus on commercial banks based in the Netherlands.

As a Director, Dermot is today responsible for servicing one of BPL Global’s largest banking clients, arranging coverage for a wide range of the bank’s lending activities, and plays a significant role in educating and training younger members of staff on the subject.

Dermot began his career in the insurance industry at AON, where he spent three years designing and implementing Directors’ and Officers’ Liability Insurance policies for large companies. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and a graduate from the University of Bristol, where he studied French and Spanish.
