Based out of London, Gregory heads up BPL Global’s reinsurance and portfolio solutions platform and is dedicated to navigating the growing synergies between the CPRI and reinsurance markets.

Specifically, Gregory focuses on captives and capital relief transactions, whereby the reinsurance market can be accessed to provide portfolio-based cover to achieve efficient risk transfer and improved use of capital for both financial institution and corporate clients.

Prior to BPL Global, Gregory spent over six years at Guy Carpenter, leading the broker’s international trade credit, political risk and surety and bond practice from 2018 onwards. While at Guy Carpenter, Gregory was responsible for placing the longest multi-year trade credit quota share treaty in the market and was instrumental in developing a reinsurance programme for a multi-lateral credit guarantee fund.

Before working in reinsurance, Gregory practised law and was called to the bar in 2002. As a barrister, he specialised in criminal defence, fraud and regulatory law – earning a coveted “red bag” in 2009, which recognises an outstanding contribution to a case.

Gregory holds an MSc in Finance and Investment from Cass Business School, along with a BSc (Hons) in Politics from the University of Leeds. He is also fluent in Armenian.
